As an Accounting Clerk, your responsibilities will include assisting with financial record keeping and performing administrative tasks within the department.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must possess a Grade 12 (NQF 4) certificate or an equivalent qualification with Finance/Accounting subjects.
Additional Advantage: Applicants with a post-matric qualification in Finance/Accounting will be given preference. A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required. A valid RSA or Military driver’s license is also necessary.
Special Requirements (Skills needed): Basic communication, analytical, innovative, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are essential. Proficiency in computer literacy (MS Office) is a must. Knowledge of the Departmental Financial Management system (FMS) or any other financial systems, as well as report writing system (IC), Departmental Accounting, Standard Chart of Accounts, Conventional Service Writing, and staff work, is required. Familiarity with Costing, Occupational Health and Safety (NOSA), and Supply Chain Management is also expected.
DUTIES: Your duties will involve providing a budget management service for the medium-term expenditure framework (MTEF). You will also assist and participate in the development of the Annual Performance Plan financial management guidelines.
